About

I started Handmade Hippie Company in 2016 with a few items on an etsy shop I'd make during the nap times or evenings, something creative to pass the time.

In 2020, I expanded my products to include printed clothing. Clothing design has always interested me and it is a great way to get my art out into the world.

While I’ve expanded my product line, it's still a one woman business run out of my home in my tiny town in Newfoundland.

My products are unique, lots are one of a kind! They are made with so much love & inspiration taken from all my adventures. I’m sure you’ll find something here that fits you just right!

Mission

I’ve always loved art and knitting makes me feel some connection to Newfoundland culture and helps me to express myself by playing with colors, textures and patterns. There’s no better feeling than creating with your hands.

Vision

Handmade Hippie Company was created to showcase my passions. Not only my passion for art, textiles, my home island and keeping a traditional practice alive but my core beliefs as a person; acceptance, being yourself, living your own way & enjoying the earth.

The Hippie in the name describes me, the person behind it all. I am a unique & free spirited person. You’ll usually find me outside somewhere hanging with my family with some yarn in my hands.
